Crowe UK - Hosting, Support and Maintenance
We’ve been working with Crowe UK, a leading national and international audit, tax, advisory and risk firm since back in June. It’s an exciting partnership for us, reaching into the private sector, as the majority of our clients are public and third sector in nature.
Crowe approached us back in May to see if we could assist with a hosting move across a number of WordPress sites. This included migrating Crowe CyberCrime and Crowe’s Brand site from a legacy hosting setup which relied on an inhouse server for a number of historic and complex redirects across to a new cloud hosting solution. Coupled with this, we have also transferred the hosting of Crowe’s legacy corporate site which has now been rebuilt using a separate solution.
In the first four weeks on the project, our team completed a number of business critical tasks including:
Setting up a new cloud-hosting environment using Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the London data centre.
A full code analysis of the existing sites, including vulnerability scans using industry-standard vulnerability and testing tools such as Nessus
Updated the codebase to the latest Wordpress versions so the new architecture was secured
Implementing a number of redirects to ensure that legacy URLs used for marketing purposes continued to operate as expected
More recently, we have completed a range of development activities which have included:
Rebranding both sites to reflect an international rebrand https://www.crowe.com/global/news/crowe-horwath-international-announces-name-change
Delivering the technical solution to a free-to-use Cybercrime Vulnerability Scorecard
Supported the addition of a new “pensions” cybercrime survey
Ongoing, we now manage the support and maintenance requirements for these sites, including security updates for Wordpress core and Wordpress plugins, and provide a support desk via Slack, email and phone.
