G-Cloud 10

The UK Government G-Cloud is an initiative targeted at easing procurement by public-sector bodies in departments of the UK Government of commodity information technology services that use cloud computing. G-Cloud established framework agreements with a large number of service providers; and lists those services on a publicly accessible portal known as the Digital Marketplace. Public Sector organisations can call off the services listed on the Digital Marketplace without needing to go through a full tender process. Big Blue Door currently has 46 services listed on the G-Cloud 10 framework.

Our technology of choice is an open source framework called Drupal, an enterprise solution used by over 1.5 million sites. The vibrant and creative community that surrounds Drupal ensures that the framework continues to develop, both in terms of the functionality it offers and the security of the sites built using its code. We are proud to be a member of the Drupal Association, an educational non-profit organization that tasks itself with fostering and supporting the Drupal software project, the community and its growth. The Association uses its resources, network and funds to constantly engage in new projects and initiatives to help educate people about Drupal and support the growth of the Drupal project.

British Assessment Bureau ISO 27001 logo
ISO 27001

The aim of the ISO 27001 standard is to help companies to establish and maintain an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS), using a continual improvement approach. To maintain your ISO 27001 certification, it is mandatory to have at least one surveillance audit visit per year to ensure you are still meeting requirements. Such surveillance audits sample the ongoing effectiveness of your information security management system. Our ISO 27001 accreditation means that we have put all nevessary measures in place to ensure that our clients' information is always protected. Policies are available upon request and include a separate Information Security Policy.

These are also known as the eight key principals of quality management. Our ISO 9001 accreditation means that we are continuously reviewing and updating our internal process to ensure that we can give our clients the best possible service. Policies are available upon request and include a separate Information Security Policy.

We believe in treating our staff with respect and dignity. As a result, we are proud to be a Living Wage Employer. The Living Wage is an example of communities, business, campaigners and groups coming together to find practical, non-statutory means to address working poverty and strengthen families. It is a voluntary hourly rate set independently and updated annually by the Living Wage Foundation. The Living Wage campaign was launched in 2001 by parents in East London, who were frustrated that working two minimum wage jobs left no time for family life.
